Madden To Remain Exclusive NFL Simulation Game Through 2026

With the current contract between the NFL and Electronic Arts set to expire after 2021 and the NFL signing an agreement in March with 2K Sports for “non-simulation” NFL games, many wondered what the future held for Madden games. The NFL and EA Sports have had a relationship for 30 years.

After months of discussions, they have come to an agreement that has been approved by the NFLPA and NFL Owners to extend their deal through 2026 to be the exclusive publisher of simulation games.

Madden NFL 21 will come out in early August and we should start to see first looks at the game in the next week or so.

Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson said in April that he would be on the cover this year, but there has been no official announcement yet.
