GAME DETAILS

• Hannah Friedrich scored her team-high 10th goal of the season in the 84th minute to lift Saint Louis to a 2-1 win over George Washington and a second straight Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season title Sunday afternoon.

• Friedrich’s goal, her school-record seventh game-winning tally of the season, came 15 minutes after George Washington (12-2-4, 7-1-2 A-10) scored an equalizer.

• Courtney Reimer, aided by Anna Walsh’s second assist of the year, netted her fourth goal of the season in the 45th minute to give Saint Louis (14-3-2, 9-0-1 A-10) a 1-0 halftime lead.

• Mary Niehaus made a career-high nine saves for the Billikens, who extended their unbeaten streak to 13 (11-0-2).

• Saint Louis, which registered a second consecutive undefeated A-10 record, is the No. 1 seed for the eight-team A-10 Championship that determines the league’s automatic NCAA Championship qualifier. The Billikens will host a quarterfinal game Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m.

• Tournament pairings will be announced Monday.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• The regular-season conference crown is the fifth in SLU women’s soccer history.

• The victory was the 61st for the Saint Louis seniors, the most wins for any class in Billiken women’s soccer history.

• The Billikens have allowed just four goals during their 13-game unbeaten streak, which is one game shy of tying the school record of 14 set last year.

• Saint Louis has a 23-game unbeaten streak vs. A-10 opponents.

• The Bills defeated George Washington for a fourth consecutive time and now lead the Colonials 9-3 in the all-time series.

• When Courtney Reimer and Anna Walsh connected for SLU’s first goal, it was the 24th different player combinations for the Billikens’ 27 assisted goals this season.

• Friedrich leads the A-10 with seven game-winning goals. Two of the seven were golden goals, while two others came in one-goal victories in regulation.

• In addition to claiming the Saint Louis season record for game-winning goals, Friedrich moved into a tie for second on the Billikens’ career chart for game-winners with 10. The record is 11.

• Friedrich’s goal was the 21st of her career, tying for eighth on SLU’s all-time list.

• Mary Niehaus moved into fifth on the Billikens’ career saves list with 174.

• Alli Klug and Evie Lavelle moved into a tie for sixth all-time at Saint Louis with their 82nd game played.

• Friedrich and Alyssa Seitzer tied for game-high honors with four shots apiece. Seitzer had a game-best three shots on goal.

• Niehaus, Klug, Reimer, Emma FarleyBrionna Halverson and Isabel Burke played all 90 minutes.
