Braxton Martinez Added to Baseball Staff

by SLU Baseball

Saint Louis University baseball has added Braxton Martinez as their volunteer assistant coach, head coach Darin Hendrickson announced Wednesday.

“It is with great excitement that I welcome former Billiken great Braxton Martinez to our coaching staff,” Hendrickson said. “He is a former freshman All-American who was a three-time A-10 champion and a part of the 2013 NCAA Regional team.”

The St. Louis native had been a member of the River City Rascals since graduating from SLU in 2016, serving as a player/hitting coach in 2019.

Martinez was also a part of the Pericos de Puebla in the Mexican League in 2018, and he coached baseball at Howell Central in 2019.

Hendrickson said, “Martinez will serve as the volunteer assistant, and he will help with the coaching of catchers, offense and more.”
