Blues Sign Forward Ivan Barbashev To A Two-Year Contract

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have signed forward Ivan Barbashev to a two-year contract worth an annual average value (AAV) of $1.475 million.

Barbashev, 23, appeared in 80 regular-season games with the Blues last season, posting a career-high 14 goals and 26 points overall.  The 6’0, 187-pound forward also collected six points (three goals, three assists) in 25 postseason games, helping the team capture the 2019 Stanley Cup Championship.

A native of Moscow, Russia, Barbashev was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 33rd overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.  He has accumulated 51 points (26 goals, 25 assists) and 23 penalty minutes in 163 career regular-season games.
