THE BASICS

• Saint Louis overcame a 12-point halftime deficit and pulled even with Missouri late in the third quarter, but the 23rd-ranked Tigers escaped Chaifetz Arena with a 74-62 win over the Billikens Sunday night.

• Ciaja Harbison tied for game-high scoring honors with 18 points and was joined in double figures byMyia Clark, who tossed in 11 points.

• Saint Louis is 4-6, while Missouri improved to 8-2 with its fifth consecutive victory.

FIRST HALF

• Missouri scored the first five points and led 25-8 before settling for a 25-10 advantage at the first-quarter buzzer.

• Saint Louis closed the margin to 10 points twice before finally narrowing the gap to single digits, 33-24, on Harbison’s 3-pointer with 2:04 left in the second.

• Missouri answered with a trey on its next possession and went on to lead 40-28 at intermission.

THIRD QUARTER

• After a Missouri free throw made it 41-28, SLU went on a 16-3 run that knotted the score at 44 with 2:50 remaining. Kendra Wilken and Harbison tallied six and five points, respectively, to lead the charge.

• Mizzou scored the last five points of the period to gain a 49-44 lead.

FOURTH QUARTER

• A 9-3 spurt put the Tigers on top 58-47, but the Billikens closed to within six on Harbison’s layup and Clark’s 3-pointer.

• However, Missouri registered the next six points for a 64-52 cushion at the 3:42 mark, and the lead remained in double digits the rest of the way.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• Saint Louis committed only 11 turnovers and shot a solid 46.2 percent (24-of-52) from the floor.

• The Billikens held Missouri to nine points in the third quarter, the seventh time this season they have limited an opponent to a single-digit point total in a quarter.

• Jordyn Frantz had nine points and a team-high four assists.

• Clark collected a team-high five rebounds.

• Wilken and Kerri McMahan scored eight points apiece.
