Blues Activate Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo From Injured Reserve

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrongannounced today the Blues have activated defenseman Robert Bortuzzo from injured reserve (IR).  Bortuzzo has missed the past 16 games with a lower-body injury.

Bortuzzo, 29, has dressed in five games for the Blues this season, posting one goal and two penalty minutes.  The 6’4, 216-pound defenseman is currently in his fifth campaign with the Blues after the club acquired him via trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Mar. 2, 2015.  Overall, the Thunder Bay, Ontario, native has appeared in 281 career National Hockey League (NHL) regular-season games between Pittsburgh and St. Louis, recording 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists) and 306 penalty minutes.
