Saint Louis University freshman guard Ciaja Harbison was named the Atlantic 10 Conference women’s basketball Rookie of the Week for Nov. 19-25, the league office announced Monday. It is Harbison’s second Rookie of the Week award this season.
Harbison averaged team highs of 13.3 points, 3.7 assists and 2.0 steals in the Billikens’ three games last week. She shot 80 percent (12-of-15) from the free throw line and added nine rebounds.
Harbison made two clutch shots in the final moments of SLU’s 67-65 win over Virginia Nov. 25. She tied the game at 65 with the first, and her bucket with 17 seconds left proved to be the game-winner.
Harbison is fifth in assists (4.3 apg), tied for eighth in free throw percentage (.813) and steals (1.7 spg), and 13th in scoring (12.3 ppg) in the A-10 rankings. She also collects 4.0 rebounds per game.
The Billikens begin a four-game homestand Thursday, Nov. 29, against Southern Illinois. Tip time at Chaifetz Arena is 7 p.m.
