THE BASICS

• Amber Lindfors registered a team-high 12 points and a game-high four blocks to lead Saint Louis, but Indiana State rallied for a 60-56 victory over the Billikens Tuesday at Chaifetz Arena.

• SLU fell to 1-1, while Indiana State improved to 2-0.

FIRST QUARTER

Neither team could find an offensive rhythm. Saint Louis scored the last four points of the quarter for a 12-7 lead.

SECOND QUARTER

• The Billikens scored the first nine points of the period, extending their run to 13-0 and their lead to 21-7 with 7:41 left.

• Neither team produced much offense the rest of the way. The Sycamores managed to narrow the margin, but the Billikens still led by double figures, 25-15, at halftime.

THIRD QUARTER

• After SLU scored the first bucket of the second half, Indiana State outscored the Billikens 16-8 and trailed 35-31 at the 2:27 mark.

• Jordyn Frantz gave the Bills a seven-point edge with a 3-pointer, and Chloe Rice’s triple in the closing seconds restored SLU’s double-digit advantage, 43-33.

FOURTH QUARTER

• Following a free throw that increased the Saint Louis lead to 11, Indiana State put together a 21-2 run over six minutes and led 54-46.

• The Billikens closed to within two points twice but could not tie or take the lead. The Sycamores were 6-of-6 from the foul line in the final 33 seconds.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• The Billikens had 10 blocks, just one shy of tying the school record.

• Amber Lindfors was 5-of-7 from the floor and added five rebounds.

• Jordyn Frantz finished with nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

• Ciaja Harbison turned in nine points, six rebounds and six assists.

• Evan Zars registered eight points and six rebounds (four offensive).

• Kerri McMahan tied a career high and led the Billikens with eight rebounds.

• Chloe Rice had a 3-of-6 shooting night for seven points.

• Brooke Flowers collected six rebounds, including four on the offensive glass.

Ashli O’Neal, 19 points, six rebounds, seven steals; Alexis Delgado, 14 points.
