SETTING THE SCENE

– Saint Louis welcomes North Alabama to Chaifetz Arena on Tuesday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

– The game will be televised on FOX Sports Midwest. Dan McLaughlin and Scott Highmark are on the call.

– The game will be streamed live nationwide on the FOX Sports App. It will also be streamed on ESPN+ outside of the FSMW footprint. The game will blacked out in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa for ESPN+ users. It will be streamed for international viewers through Atlantic10.com.

– The radio broadcast will air on 101 ESPN (101.1 FM and 101Sports.com). As always, Billiken Hall of Famer Bob Ramsey provides the play-by-play, while St. Louis American Sports Editor Earl Austin Jr. handles the analysis.

– The Billikens women’s basketball team hosts Indiana State at Chaifetz Arena at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Men’s basketball ticket holders may use their ticket to gain admission to the women’s game.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

– The Billikens conclude their three-game homestand on Tuesday night when they entertain North Alabama at Chaifetz Arena.

– Saint Louis is 2-0 on the young season after picking up home wins against Southeast Missouri (75-65) and Troy (62-58).

– The Billikens were picked to win the Atlantic 10 Conference via a vote by A-10 coaches and media. The Bills claimed 15 of the 26 first-place votes to finish ahead of Saint Joseph’s (second) and Davidson (third).

– The Billikens rallied to defeat Troy 62-58 on Saturday night. Senior guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. led four Billikens in double figures with 16 points, while  sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin scored 15 points and collected nine rebounds. SLU trailed by as many as 13 in the first half and came back from an eight-point second-half deficit.

– Isabell leads the Billikens in scoring with 17.0 ppg. Senior guard Javon Bess (14.5 ppg) and Goodwin (13.0 ppg) also score in double figures for Saint Louis.

– Sophomore forward Hasahn French leads the team in rebounding with 9.5 rpg. He hauled in a game-high 12 boards in the season-opening win against SEMO.

– Senior guard Dion Wiley (7.5 ppg) and senior forward D.J. Foreman (6.0 ppg) are both averaging 20-plus mpg off the bench.

– Up next, the Billikens travel to Newark, New Jersey, to face Seton Hall at the Prudential Center on Saturday night. Tip time is 7 p.m. (CT) on FS2.

ABOUT THE LIONS

– The University of North Alabama is located in Florence, Alabama.

– UNA is 1-1 on the season with a loss to Samford (91-74) and a win against Blue Mountain (72-59).

– The Lions are in their first year of NCAA Division I membership and compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

– North Alabama is led by guard/forward Kendall Stafford. He was the only player to start all 28 games for the Lions last season. Stafford led the team in scoring at 15.5 points per game.

– Kendarius Smith is the only other Lion returning from last year’s team. He averaged 14.4 ppg and dished out a team-leading 96 assists a season ago.

– Head coach Troy Pujol is in his first season at North Alabama. Previously, Pujol served as an assistant at Wyoming, Appalachian State, VCU and Alabama.

SERIES HISTORY

– This is the first meeting between the two teams.
