(BALLWIN, MO) For the local three-time defending champions of the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA), an impressive trifecta was recorded this weekend in their own backyard.
St. Louis-based GateKeepers Roller Derby claimed three wins at their hosted “Sibling Rivalry” invitational held at Midwest Sport Hockey.
At the two-day, ten-game event that featured five men’s leagues, the GateKeepers claimed wins over Drive-By City (451-34), Austin Anarchy (287-92) and Philly Hooligans (268-79) to push their record to 9-0.
The weekend’s result also pushed St. Louis’ MRDA-sanctioned win streak to an unprecedented 41 games.
Also during the event, the franchises’ developmental team of travelers, the B-Keepers, fell to Austin Anarchy 177-156.
