The Atlantic 10 Conference announced on Monday that Miller Hogan had been named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week for his electric performance on Friday against La Salle.
Hogan went the distance and tossed a three-hitter as he shut-out the La Salle Explorers to earn his seventh win of the season. Hogan recorded nine strikeouts in the outing.
It was the second complete game in Hogan’s career. The first came earlier this season in a nine-inning win over Saint Joseph’s. It was the first complete game shutout, however.
This is the second time that Hogan has been awarded the A-10 Pitcher of the Week Award. He took home the honor on April 9 for his seven-inning, 11 strikeout performance against UMass.
Hogan joins another Hogan, Hogan Brown of VCU who was named Rookie of the Week, and Justin Bardwell from Fordham.
Parker Sniatynski, Nick Reeser and Jackson Wark have all grabbed weekly awards in 2018 in addition to Hogan’s two.
