This Saturday night at 6 p.m., the St. Charles county-based rollers get the opportunity to unleash their efforts as the Pack in Black hosts the Twin City Derby Girls at their season opener at the Lamborghini Gold Coast Athletic Center (49 Lawrence Street, St. Charles, MO).

SCDC, currently ranked #121 globally in the highly-competitive Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), is stoked to face their long-time rival from Champaign/Urbana, Illinois that currently sits at #98.

“The team is pretty excited,” said Pack in Black captain Slaughter Haus. “We’ve been really focusing on playing good, clean derby during practices and scrimmage.”

The roster contains numerous skaters that have been long-time fixtures of the league. Jamming will be paced by returnees Ankle BiteHer, Doom Raider and Hail Skatin’. Alongside Slaughter Haus blocking will be shored by veterans Sha’Killa, Dani, Disaster, Judy Boom, #smashtag, Rocky Who and Zombie Firefly.

Also on the SCDC charter this season are Strawberry MILFShake, Rainbow Crash, BruiseHer, Wretched Gretchen and S’Miles.

“We’ve had some great progression of new and seasoned skaters,” assessed Slaughter Haus. “To name a few, Ankle BiteHer has really finessed her jamming skills and Gretchen has progressed substantially.”

St. Chux’s quest to continuously improve as the season progresses is top priority.

“Our goal is to climb the rankings to the best of our abilities as well as grow into the community,” the captain said.

The Pack in Black would love to have a vocal crowd this Saturday to support them on their journey.

“Who doesn’t like an awesome crowd?” said Slaughter Haus. “Hearing your fans cheer for you lights the fire in your soul!”

The event will also feature a men’s exhibition with skaters from GateKeepers Roller Derby.

General admission tickets at the door are $10 while children 12 and under get in free. Groups tickets purchased in advance online at THIS LINK will get a special “Buy Five, Get One Free” rate.
