Blues Activate Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo From Injured Reserve

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have activated defenseman Robert Bortuzzo from injured reserve (IR).  Bortuzzo has missed the past five games after suffering a left-knee injury during the Blues game against the Dallas Stars on Feb. 16.

Bortuzzo, 28, has dressed in 55 games this season, posting eight points (one goal, seven assists) and 35 penalty minutes.  Overall, the 6’4, 216-pound defenseman has appeared in 259 career NHL regular season games, accumulating 37 points (nine goals, 28 assists) and 298 penalty minutes.  A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Bortuzzo was originally acquired by the Blues via trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Mar. 2, 2015.
