Blues Place Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo On Injured Reserve

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have placed defenseman Robert Bortuzzo on injured reserve (IR) with a left knee injury.  Bortuzzo suffered the injury during the Blues game against the Dallas Stars last Friday, Feb. 16.

Bortuzzo, 28, has dressed in 55 games for the Blues this season, posting eight points (one goal, seven assists) and 35 penalty minutes.  The 6’4, 216-pound defenseman is currently in his fourth season in St. Louis after the Blues acquired him via trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Mar. 2, 2015.  Overall, the Thunder Bay, Ontario, native has appeared in 259 career NHL regular season games, accumulating 37 points (nine goals, 28 assists) and 298 penalty minutes.
