Playing For the Money

by

I was reading a Jeremy Rutherford mailbag question on Friday and found it very interesting when he mentioned some players playing for the money.

Now he is in tight with the Blues and said he would not name and names, but I am just a blogger so I will go ahead and write about it.

who would you think just plays for the money? Tarasenko has made multiple comments on how he loves his teammates. Alexander Steen has said the same thing, Brayden Schenn has made comments about playing for each other. So who else would just play for the money?

Rutherford made comments about Jaskin having trouble fitting in with the team, but is he making that much money?

I have two players in mind that might just be playing for the money. Vladimir Sobotka and Patrick Berglund, these two guys seem to just play the game with no fire. Sobotka hasn’t been the same since he has come back from the KHL and Berglund has never been the type to play the game with fire.

Now I am not saying these two guys are the ones JR was talking about, but in my opinion these guys have been mentioned in recent trade talks.
