Ambush Host Kansas City Saturday

The cross-state and Central Division rival Kansas City Comets (2-8) come to town for this Saturday’s St. Louis Ambush (1-10) game at 7:05 p.m.at the Family Arena.

If the Ambush are to prevail over the Comets, they will have to find a way to stop prolific scorer Leo Gibson, who has six goals and three assists in his last five games and Bryan Perez, who has posted four goals and six assists in his last five. On the Ambush side, Clayton “Pedaleira” Matheus has four goals and two assists in his last five appearances, while Jerjer Gibson has four goals. Player/head coach Hewerton has been a stellar playmaker, leading the team in assists with 14.

Saturday’s contest is the second of four meetings between the Ambush and Comets this season. The Comets won the first encounter 10-8 on November 4, 2017 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence. The two teams will meet here at the Family Arena for their next match, slated for Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 7:05 CT. The Comets will host the final match on Friday, Februry 9, 2018 at 7:35 p.m. at the Silverstein Eye Centers arena in Independence.

Following Saturday’s game, the Ambush take to the road to visit the Florida Tropics at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida on Friday, January 12 at 6:35 p.m. CT. The next home game will be Friday, January 19 at 7:35 p.m. CT, when the Syracuse Silver Knights visit the Family Arena.
