Blues Recall Forward Tage Thompson From San Antonio

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has recalled forward Tage Thompson from the American Hockey League’s (AHL) San Antonio Rampage.  In addition, the Blues placed forward Sammy Blais (BLAY) on injured reserve (IR) with a lower-body injury.

Thompson, 20, has dressed in four games with the Blues this season, serving four penalty minutes.  The 6’5, 201-pound forward has also appeared in 24 games for the Rampage, posting 16 points (seven goals, nine assists).  A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Thompson was originally drafted by the Blues with the 26th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Blais, 21, has dressed in 10 games for the Blues this season, posting one goal and two assists.  The 6’2, 205-pound forward has also appeared in 12 games for the Rampage, recording 14 points (six goals, eight assists).  The Montmagny, Quebec, native was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round, 176th overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
