Injustice 2: Why? Just Why?

by Nick Stucker

Like it’s predecessor, Injustice 2 is filled with non-stop action, an all star fighting roster and original story by the very creators of the fighters you play as. It’s intuitive, has gorgeous graphics and an even better finisher move system that is unique for every character (with some just being quite comical). For those that are a fan of Mortal Kombat, you shouldn’t pass up Injustice 2.

For Injustice 2, there 28 fighters you can play as. Then you have DLC, which are called fighter packs. These fighter packs are additional fighters that the player can download and play as. Two fighter packs have been released. The third is slated to hit this week. While the first two fighter packs made sense to us, this third one did not; at least, one group of fighters didn’t make sense.

In the third and final fighter pack you get Atom (not bad), Enchantress (a strong fighter) and….The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I mean really? Come one! There are so many more interesting heroes and villains that the developers could have used to fill that final fighter pack slot!

Sure, you have Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat series that has showed up. Even Raiden has made an appearance as a fighter, which is understandable. Even Hellboy (which is awesome) is in it. But really? Theses guys? I don’t know; maybe fans wanted them in it and the developers gave them what they wanted or something. But in my opinion, there are WAY MORE villains and heroes worthy of that fighter pack slot.

Injustice 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’ll be available for the first time on PC this week.
