Upcoming Weekend’s NHRA Event at Gateway Motorsports Park Rescheduled

by Brian Ledford

Monday morning, officials at Gateway Motorsports Park released that this weekend’s NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series All-American Hot Rod Showdown will be re-scheduled in October due to a multiple-day excessive heat advisory for the area.

The Madison, Illinois-based facility has moved the event to October 20-22.

According to GMP, a detailed schedule for the new dates will be released soon. The event will honor $20-per-car load coupons and ticket vouchers, originally valid for July 21-22,  on October 21-22.

The St. Louis office of the National Weather Service sent a notification Monday morning that temperatures this weekend could reach as high as 103 degrees.
