THE BASICS

•Saint Louis dominated from start to finish and improved to 6-1 with an 89-50 victory over Southeast Missouri State Tuesday night at the Show Me Center.

•SLU, ranked No. 6 in the ESPN national mid-major poll, led 26-11 after one quarter and 47-21 at halftime. The Billikens put together a sizzling first-half run in which they scored on 19 of 24 possessions.

•Southeast Missouri State of the Ohio Valley Conference fell to 3-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED

•Saint Louis never trailed. The Billikens scored the first eight points and kept SEMO off the scoreboard for the first 6:09.

Kerri McMahan hit three field goals in a four-possession span, the last of which put SLU ahead by double digits for good, 19-8, with 1:48 to play in the first quarter.

•An Olivia Jakubicek bucket with 5:38 to play in the second quarter gave the Billikens their first 20-point cushion, 39-19.

•Saint Louis was on top 65-33 after three quarters and led by as many as 42 points before settling for the final margin.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

•Saint Louis shot 52.2 percent (36-of-69) from the field, including nine 3-pointers, and was 8-of-8 from the foul line.

•The Billikens committed only eight turnovers, their third single-digit turnover total of the season.

•SLU earned a 48-29 rebounding advantage.

•The Bills held SEMO to 26.7 percent (16-of-60) from the field overall and 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from beyond the arc.

Sadie Stipanovich (8-of-13 FG) scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Olivia Jakubicek (5-of-8 FG) posted season highs of 12 points and 11 rebounds (game high) for her second career double-double. Jakubicek added a season-high three assists and two steals.

Jordyn Frantz was 3-of-5 from 3-point range and finished with 11 points and a season-high-tying five rebounds.

Jackie Kemph had nine points and game highs of nine assists and three steals.

Jenny Vliet registered eight points and seven rebounds and tied her season high of four assists.

Kerri McMahan (4-of-6 FG) tallied a season-high eight points.

Tara Dusharm (3-of-3 FG) tied her career high of six points and dished out her first two assists as a Billiken.

Erin Nelson was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc for a season-high-tying six points.

•Bri Mitchell, 11 points; Ashton Luttrull, seven points; Mandy Madden, seven rebounds.
