Loyola is a cellar dweller in the Missouri Valley. They’ve had some decent wins, but some bad losses. The Rattlers have beaten Indiana State, Northern Iowa, and Southern Illinois. The Ramblers have also played Illinois State to two close games. The Ramblers have done well against the middle of the pack teams in the MVC but they are 0-6 against the top three teams in the MVC. Their inability to take down the better teams might very well be their downfall in the tournament. 8 seed Loyola plays 9 seed Bradley Thursday in the first round of the MVC tournament. The two teams split in the two meetings in the regular season. The winner of that game moves on to play the 1 seed Wichita State.
