The St. Louis Surge, the defending national champions of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL), are hosting a special event for fans that purchase a 2015 season ticket package.
“Celebration of Champions,” the team’s official launch party, takes place Friday, April 24 at the Budweiser Brew House Deck at Ballpark Village (601 Clark Ave.) The event begins with a V.I.P. reception at 5:30 p.m. and continues with the presentation of championship rings to last season’s championship squad at 7:15 p.m.
The event includes complimentary food and a cash bar will be available. The launch party, for ages 21-and-up, runs until 9 p.m and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the Surge’s 2015 roster throughout the evening.
Once again, this event is being offered exclusively to fans that purchase 2015 Surge season tickets, which are available AT THIS LINK. The five-game package of home contests, which includes exclusive benefits, costs $75.
The Surge (14-1 in 2014) won its first WBCBL national championship last August. They currently sport an 11-game winning streak heading into its first game of the season, a May 2 road trip to WBCBL Mid-West Division rival Nebraska.
St. Louis’ home opener at UMSL’s Mark Twain Center takes place on Saturday, June 13 vs. Nebraska.
