St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong and Alaska Aces Managing Partner Terry Parks announced today the teams have reached a one-year agreement to make the Aces the Blues’ East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) affiliate.
The Aces, who were previously affiliated with the Blues from 2005-12, captured the third Kelly Cup in franchise history last season.
The Aces originally joined the ECHL in 2003, and have posted a winning record in each of their 11 seasons in the league, while earning four consecutive regular season titles. Their postseason accolades include eight Division Championships and four Conference Championships, while they have lifted the Kelly Cup three times (2014, 2011, 2006).
The Aces, who play their home games at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, are coached by Rob Murray.
