Jordair Jett Named Honorable Mention All-America by Associated Press

Saint Louis senior guard Jordair Jett has been named to the honorable mention All-America team. He is the first Billiken since Larry Hughes to garner All-America honors.

The A-10 Player of the Year, Jett helped the Billikens to their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and their second Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season crown in as many years.

Jett led the Billikens in assists (164) and steals (51) and was second on the squad in scoring (13.9 ppg). He led the Billikens in scoring during A-10 play, averaging 17 ppg. Jett ends his career ranking third on the Billiken lists in career assists (422) and steals (174). His 1,239 career points are 18th all-time at SLU.

Jett is the sixth Billiken to collect All-America honors. Ed Macauley was a consensus All-American in 1948 and 1949.Ray Steiner was named a third-team All-American in 1952 by the AP and UPI, while Dick Boushka was a third-team All-American (AP) in 1955. In 1959, Bob Ferry collected All-America honors from the USBWA (first team), Converse (second team), AP (third team), NABC (third team) and UPI (third team). Hughes was named an honorable mention All-American in 1998.

Additionally, Jett was named one of 25 finalists for the 2013-14 Lefty Driesell Defensive Player of the Year award. The winner of the Driesell Award will be announced at the CollegeInsider.com Awards Banquet on April 4 in Dallas as part of Final Four weekend.
